Kendall Jenner Victoria Secret Angel- Will The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashian’ Star Become The Newest Lingerie Model?
Could a reality star be the next Victoria Secret fashion model? Kendall Jenner might be getting her own pair of wings as the lingerie company is reportedly interested in the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star.
New York Daily News is reporting that Victoria Secret has taken an interest in the star to make her one of their angels, after seeing her appearance during New York Fashion Week.
"They'd love to lock in a contract with her," the source revealed to In Touch Weekly.
Kendall, who has been trying to make a name for herself in the fashion industry, might have just scored a very coveted spot amongst some of the supermodel elites.
Jenner will also appear in a book of photography called Angels, which was shot by Russell James a photographer for the lingerie brand, which could be another clue into her taking the spot amongst the angels. She will appear in the pages of the fashion book alongside other VS angels including Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, and Candice Swanepoel.
It looks like if Victoria Secret approached Kendall to model for them the starlet wouldn't turn down the opportunity, as she told Cosmopolitan back in 2013 that modeling during the companies annual angel fashion show would be her "dream modeling job."
Well, it looks like the stars dreams are about to come true.
Kendall has been building her fashion resume as she just walked in the Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and Givenchy runway shows, and according to In Touch, the company got interested in Kim Kardashian's sister after "all the buzz she got from walking in New York Fashion Week."
The stunning teenager has come straight from an American reality TV show to wow fashionistas across the globe and is now so sought after for next season's catwalk shows that already she is being offered starring roles for January - the biggest at London Fashion Week.
She is, with no exaggeration, the most popular celebrity on the planet at the moment - yet we know little about her - other than she is Kim Kardashian's little sister, part of the Kardashian/Jenner family dynasty that is currently at the heart of the show business industry.
And she is about to eclipse her elder sibling.
Just 18-years-old, the daughter of Kris Jenner and her estranged former athlete husband Bruce, Kendall is already amassed a fortune of £4 million, that though, is about to get much more impressive.
With her fellow models putting the catty into catwalk, the up-and-coming Jenner seems to be taking their remarks to heart.
Lost in Showbiz cannot help but be intrigued by the saga of Kim Kardashian’s half-sister Kendall Jenner and her nascent modelling career. It all appeared to be going so well: runway appearances for Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger and Diane von Furstenberg. And yet, reports suggested that, behind the scenes, Jenner had been the victim of a bullying campaign, with other models putting cigarette butts in her drink, and one writing an open letter claiming that her success is down to designers “milking her fame”. One magazine cover suggested that, at 8st 7lbs, Jenner had been branded “too fat for the runway”, and “needs to lose 10lbs”, alongside a photograph of her that appeared to show some cellulite on the back of her legs.
The rumours were subsequently denied by Jenner’s mother, but by then the damage had been done. LiS’s head was reeling and its jaw scraping the floor in astonishment. The fashion world! Who would have thought it was a broiling mass of mean-spirited bitching, a miserable, grasping, venal place, predicated on shallowness, in which women are paraded around and pitted against each other like animals in a fight outside a rural pub, their body images irreparably damaged by the setting of unattainable physical goals and the inevitable shame heaped on those who fail to meet them? Before the scales fell from its eyes, LiS had always assumed it was a cosy but empowering utopia of sisterly chumminess and good feeling, where “come one come all, but come as you are – it’s what’s inside that counts!” was very much the motto. Look at its ambassadors. Naomi Campbell? She seems nice. Karl Lagerfeld, with his high collars and his mouth permanently pursed in a cat’s arse of disapproval, ever-ready to offer his opinion on which women in the public eye are too fat. Do they seem like the kind of people who would thrive in a world of malice and superficiality?
Thankfully, Kendall Jenner has come up with the perfect riposte: “Her sister Khloe [Kardashian] is lining up sessions with a personal trainer and a better diet.” Lost in Showbiz can only gawp in admiration and offers a round of applause. Well done! Get yourself on a diet! That’ll certainly show your alleged tormentors that you don’t care what they say! Send out a strong message to the bullies: you’ve got a point and I’m very sorry!
The 18-year-old was the undisputed catwalk queen of New York Fashion Week and she's currently in Milan ahead of their runway series.
But despite her rising star, Kendall, who has also dropped her last name for professional reasons, is allegedly the victim of some serious hazing behind the scenes.
"The other models worked so hard to get a spot on the runway and didn't think it was fair that she was there," an insider told In Touch magazine of her stint in the Big Apple.
Kendall Jenner blames Kardashian sisters for stalling modelling career
"They thought she was getting special treatment and just weren't okay with it."
"They started acting so bitchy— some even put out their cigarettes in Kendall's drink," the source added. "Models can be cruel, especially with someone new and entitled."
She made her runway debut last season and has since walked for Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger.
And the reality star has quashed reports that her famous family pulled strings to get her gigs, insisting that her last name has gone against her in landing high profile jobs.
Kendall Jenner puts modelling first as she 'doesn't have a romantic life'
She's taking her turn in the spotloight seriously and has even banned big sister Kim Kardashian from attending shows
"She called me before and was like, 'Hey I was invited to the show, I just wanted to let you know. Do you want me to come?' and I was like, 'No'."
"I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously. People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn't. What I have has almost worked against me."

KENDALL JENNER TOP MODEL? KIM KARDASHIAN’S SISTER KILLS IT AT FASHION WEEK AS SHE DISTANCES HERSELF FROM REALITY SHOW REPUTATION (PHOTOS)
Kendall Jenner was the hottest model on the runway at New York Fashion Week, and her Spring 2015 success had little to do with the Jenner or Kardashian names. After dropping her last name on modeling go-sees, Kylie's sister seems to be doing better than ever. But is she embarrassed by her reality-show family?
Kendall Jenner killed it at New York Fashion Week, and her runway success had little to do with the Kardashians or her reality-show reputation. In fact, she has dropped her last name when she tries out for modelings gigs.
“She has been advised by friends in the fashion industry that reality TV could damage her modeling career,” a source said. And she’s already been taking steps to distance herself from the show. “While she’s still contractually bound to the original Kardashian series, Kendall had the option to pull out of any other potential shows and that’s exactly what she’s done,” a source revealed.
